KetoCal® Cream of Mushroom Soup (MAD)

This recipe is for patients following a modified Atkins diet (MAD). MAD should only be done under medical supervision. Always consult with your health care professional to ensure a recipe is appropriate for your prescribed diet. 

Household measurements are based on the USDA values for grams in household measurements. All nutritional values are calculated in ketocalculator using the household measurement’s corresponding gram weight.

 60ml ¼ cup Ketocal LQ Unflavored
 1.5g ¼ tsp garlic paste
 2g ½ tsp olive oil
 70g 1 cup sliced Mushrooms, raw, white
 18g 3 Tbsp. spring onions or scallions, bulbs and tops, chopped
 60ml ¼ cup water
 3g 1 ½ tsp bouillon powder, cube or granules
  Optional: Poultry seasoning, to taste


  1. Place the spring onions, mushroom, garlic and oil into a pan and sweat the vegetables on a low heat for 4 minutes 
  2. Dissolve the stock cube in the hot water 
  3. Add the stock to the vegetables and simmer for 10 minutes
  4. Add the Ketocal LQ to the soup and heat for 1 minute
  5. Blend using a blender until smooth
